Casa Nonna, which means "Grandmother's House" in Italian, is as open and inviting as you would expect from our name. Located just south of the theater district, Casa Nonna is our tribute to authentic flavors and quality ingredients that are the hallmark of true Italian cuisine. The menu is a culmination of traditional Roman and Tuscan fare, highlighted by fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. From salumi, cheese and antipasti platters, to house-made pastas and wood-fired pizzas, the menu is available á la carte and family style, overflowing with options ideal for sharing. The restaurant boasts a stellar wine list of all-Italian selections, celebrating the quality and diversity of Italian grape varietals as the ideal complement to your meal. The inviting space is accented with dark wood and copper veneers, terra cotta floors and shelves laden with Italian products and jarred pastas along the walls.

We literally walked in @6 pm on Friday night and we were seated immediately. The staff was tremendous and the food worth every penny!

The positives first. The appetizers are quite delicious and if I ordered nothing else, the rating would be higher. I especially liked the crispy brussel sprouts, garlic bread, burrata with heirloom tomatoes. I was disappointed by the pizza. We ordered prosciutto with arugula, the mushroom and pepperoni pizzas. The fact that each person only ate 1 slice from their respective pizzas says something. The rest of our party ordered salads or crab cakes.

The braised short rib and the butternut squash raviolis were so flavorful. One of the best meals I have ever had in NYC. Great waiter too!
